Denton Ryan halted the high powered run game of Longview, only allowing 40 rushing yards in the win over the Lobos. In what turned out to be a highly defense affair, the two teams battled it out showing their physicality at Mesquite Memorial Stadium.

The Raiders were the first to score, getting a goal line rush by Texas Signee Ja’Tavion Sanders. The Lobos followed suit with a drive highlighted by their sophomores, QB Jordan Allen and WR Jalen Hale. Two connections, a 37 yard pass and a 10 yard touchdown in the back of the endzone, would get the Lobos on the board.

However thats where the offense for Longview would dry up. The Denton Ryan defensive line highlighted by 2022 DT Bear Alexander, would silence the rushing duo of Kaden Meredith and Markevion Haynes.

In the second and third quarter, Ryan Quarterback Seth Henigan would start to heat up. He threw two touchdown passes to under the radar receiver Keagan Cunningham to extend the lead over the Lobos. One touchdown pass being in the endzone, while the other was in open field and Cunningham was able to run up the sideline for the score.

Ja’Tavion Sanders also used his size in the forth quarter to dominate the Lobo DBs and score in the endzone.

Denton Ryan will move on to the 5A D1 Regional Final. There they will face a Highland Park team that just got revenge on Lone Star.
